INSPECTION and CLIENT DISCUSSION: We can confirm that as arranged we met the Insured, Mr/Mrs _____ at their premises on the _______ and there discussed the circumstances surrounding their claim.
WHAT HAPPENED AND WHEN: The Insured advised that during the storm event on the ______ , strong winds and heavy rain caused water to enter the home.
RESULTING DAMAGE: Areas of the damage include
CAUSE OF DAMAGE: Upon my attendance Damage was caused by Storm conditions including high winds and heavy rain; have resulted in rainwater entering the home [i.e. under the flashing / tile clips / skylight apron / roof ventilator]. The property has also suffered damage from tree impact. Prior to the event the roof appeared to be in good condition overall and is generally well maintained, the ingression appears to have occurred due to storm conditions. There is no evidence of damage predating the storm and no storm created openings were found.

There were no maintenance issues, defects or design issues at the insureds property at the time of our inspection.
SUMMARY: In my opinion this was result of the storm damage and is covered/covered review/accept cannot warrant works/ uncertain and requires review/requires specialist/not covered/requires further investigation/under excess/client wishes to withdraw claim/no result and damage under the policy. The customer is aware of their responsibilities and due to the cost of the repairs being under our authority limit proceedings have begun /over our authority limit we will wait for further correspondence.
